Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered a flat with a hose reel jet and located one casualty inside. The casualty was rescued by crews and handed over to the care of paramedics and the air ambulance.
Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and then used a high-pressure fan to clear smoke from the property.
Firefighters remain at the scene carrying out checks on neighbouring properties. A fire investigation will take place to determine the cause of the fire.
