Two fire engines from Lymm and Poynton, plus the rapid rescue response unit from Poynton.

Firefighters went on foot to locate a fire involving a hedgerow and trees which were well alight. Around 25 metres were affected. Crews got control of the fire, but the wildfire team were also called due to the difficult location and nature of the fire, causing a risk of spreading in the area.
It is suspected this may have been ignited deliberately and police were informed.
