Details
Firefighters were called to reports of smoke coming from a second-floor flat. The property was evacuated before our arrival as the occupant had raised the alarm.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel and ventilated the property using a high-pressure fan.
All occupants were safe and given checks for mild smoke inhalation. One casualty is believed to have taken themselves for further medical attention as a precaution.
The cause is believed to have been accidental and involved cooking in the kitchen.
