Crews responded to a significant fire affecting the first floor and loft space of a semi-detached property.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose jets to bring the fire under control. The fire also affected the neighbouring property, where crews gained access to tackle the fire from the loft space.
All residents were accounted for. One person was taken to hospital for suspected smoke inhalation.
The fire was extinguished in the early hours, around 02:15, and crews remained on the scene to monitor for hotspots and assess structural safety.
At 09:30 this morning, the fire service was still at the scene. Firefighters have been continually monitoring the property, damping down hot spots, and retrieving some belongings for the occupants.
A fire investigation will now take place.
