Crews attended one vehicle well alight on the hard shoulder of the M56. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used on hose reel to extinguish the fire and dampen down the vehicle. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. The incident was then handed over to National Highways.
