Crews were called to reports of a car on fire on the M6 southbound carriageway between junctions 19 and 18.
The fire was out before our crews' arrival after a dry powder extinguisher had been used. Firefighters then cooled the vehicle using a hose reel jet to ensure it wouldn't reignite.
A lane closure was in place while the incident was dealt with.
