Firefighters attended a kitchen fire believed to have started in a toaster, which then spread to nearby items.
Before crews arrived, a neighbour had helped one occupant out of the property. Firefighters carried out precautionary checks on the occupant and requested an ambulance due to suspected smoke inhalation.
A bucket of water and a fire blanket were used to extinguish the fire and a high-pressure fan cleared the smoke from the property. As a precaution, neighbouring homes were checked for any signs of fire spread, but none were found.
