Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a small van. The impact had left one person trapped inside the van.
Firefighters quickly stabilised the vehicle and worked carefully to remove the windscreen, allowing them to free the casualty safely. Throughout the rescue, crews provided trauma care and reassurance. Once released, the casualty was able to walk away with support from ambulance staff.
A second ambulance attended to check another person from the car, who is believed to have minor injuries.
The road was fully closed while the incident was dealt with, before being cleared and reopened.
