Three fire engines from Ellesmere Port, Powey Lane and Chester

Firefighters were called to reports of a fire outside a flat in Ellesmere Port. On arrival they found a fire involving rubbish underneath an external staircase. The fire was extinguished and three people were led to safety by firefighters. It is believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette.
