Crews were called to reports of smoke emitting from the loft space of a terraced house in Widnes. On arrival, firefighters found there had been a small fire in the loft, which was out on arrival. Firefighters then used a ladder to remove roof tiles, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots, using a hose reel jet to dampen them down.
