Firefighters were called to a fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat in Rudheath Close, Crewe. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the flat with a hose reel to extinguish the fire, supported by a safety jet and covering jet.
A large fan was then used to clear smoke from the affected property. Crews also inspected other flats within the property to ensure no further spread of fire.
All persons within the building were accounted for, with one individual treated by attending paramedics.
