Firefighters were called to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding in an outbuilding of Macclesfield hospital. The building had been evacuated prior to firefighters' arrival. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building, using a gas detector to monitor the readings. The building was ventilated, and the readings were found to be safe. The gas utility company were called to the scene, and the incident was handed over to onsite staff.
