Crews were called to a van that was well alight on the slip road of the M62. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. Two lanes of the roadway were closed by National Highways while the incident was dealt with.
