Crews were called to reports of smoke issuing from a bedroom window in Crewe.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a high-pressure fan to ventilate the property. A ladder was used to check the loft space for signs of fire spread.
All persons were accounted for, and one casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was taken to hospital by paramedics. The fire is believed to have started accidentally due to lit candles.
