Firefighters were called to a large commercial premises where three large piles of recycling waste had caught fire inside the building. Wearing breathing apparatus, they used two hose reel water jets to tackle the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke. The waste was brought outside and crews remained at the scene until almost midnight damping down and checking for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera.
