Firefighters are currently in attendance at a fire involving wood chippings in Wardle.
Update at 10:48 | Crews were called to a large fire, consisting of wood chippings that were well alight, at a recycling centre in Wardle.
Firefighters created a fire break to prevent any potential fire spread. Four hose reel jets were used to get the fire under control, and machinery onsite was used to remove and spread the wood chippings.
A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hotspots throughout before leaving the scene. This is believed to have been caused by a battery.
