Firefighters were called to a section of decking on fire in Runcorn. Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and dampen the surrounding area. Crews cut away parts of the decking to check for signs of fire spread, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
