Emergency services attended a fire at a two‑storey disused building.
Several breathing apparatus teams entered the property to tackle the fire with hose reel jets and carry out thorough searches to make sure no one was inside. The building was clear and no rescues or injuries have been reported. The high pressure-fan was also used to clear smoke.
Police were also in attendance and closed the road to allow safe access and use of a fire hydrant for crews.
It is suspected to have been a deliberate ignition - a fire investigation will take place.
