Two fire engines from Ellesmere Port and Powey Lane

Firefighters were called after a vehicle towing a broken-down car noticed smoke coming from the brakes of the towed vehicle. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to assess the temperature and cooled the brakes using a hose reel jet. One fire engine was used to fend off traffic so firefighters could work safely. The incident was resolved within half an hour.
