Firefighters were called to a report of smoke in a commercial property in Charles Street, Chester.
Crews gained entry to the premises and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to put out the fire, which involved a bag of laundry.
A large fan was then used to ventilate the building.
