Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish a car well alight in Stockport. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots, which were subsequently dampened down.
The road was closed in both directions while the incident was dealt with. This is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
