Three fire engines from Powey Lane, Ellesmere Port and Runcorn
Details
Firefighters were called to a fire involving the wheels of a trailer on the hard shoulder of the M56. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and dampen down the area.
Two lanes of the road were closed while the incident was dealt with. Police and National Highways also attended.
