Firefighters attended a fire involving a tractor on Chester High Road at the junction with Hinderton Road. On arrival, the tractor was well alight, with some heat damage caused to a nearby property. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and one main jet to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading further.
The driver had safely exited the vehicle before firefighters arrived. Once the fire had been extinguished, crews remained at the scene to damp down hotspots.
Police attended to assist with traffic management while the road junction was closed in all directions. The tractor was later recovered from the road and the incident was handed over to police.
