FOI 1757 - Fires In Properties That Do Not Have A Smoke Alarm

Could you please confirm the following:

- How many fires have you been called out to in the last two years where a smoke alarm hasn’t been fitted? Could you please sort it by year.

- How many of those fires have been fatal to people and pets? Could you please sort it by year, and also please include the recorded number of pets and people that have passed away. 

- How many fires have you been called out to in the last two years where a smoke alarm hasn’t been fitted in Alsager, Congleton and Sandbach? Could you please sort it by year and by each of the three towns separately please.

- How many of those fires have been fatal to people and pets? Could you please sort it by year and by each of the three towns separately please, and also please include the recorded number of pets and people that have passed away. 

Please find below the information requested regarding the total number of fires attended by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in dwellings where no smoke alarm was fitted in the last two years (1^st July 2020 to 30^th June 2022).

 There were no fire related fatalities involving people at these incidents.

Please be aware that there is no way of recording the number of fatalities involving pets/animals on our Incident Recording System so this information cannot be provided.
