FOI 1853 - Facilities Contracts

Could you please supply me with the following information: 

A full list of all contracts for facilities services delivered by an external provider on behalf of the Fire & Rescue Service relating to the following areas:

  • Cleaning

  • Catering

  • Security

  • Other Facilities Management

Contracts which are required to be publicly available are displayed on the Bluelight e-Procurement Hub via the link:   In-Tend Electronic Tendering Site - Home (in-tendhost.co.uk)

A login is not required to access the Contracts Register, just select the Contracts tab to access the contracts register, select current and filter by Customer to identify the Organisation you wish to search.

Invoices paid over £500 are published on Fire’s website each month:

 https://www.cheshirefire.gov.uk/about-us/key-documents/freedom-of-information/what-we-spend/invoices

Please provide the following information:

  • The name of the provider for each contract; 

This will be on the Bluelight e-Procurement Hub at the link provided above.

  • The value of each contract; 

Spend on each contract can be obtained from the value of the invoices published on Fire’s website each month.

  • The number of staff employed on each contract;   - Not Known

  • The end date of each contract; and the date that any decision would need to be made regarding renewal; 

End date will be on the Bluelight e-Procurement Hub at the link provided above.  The Cleaning contract has an option to extend for up to two [2] years, a decision will be taken six [6] months before the end date.  We are in the process of running a procurement exercise for a new Catering contract.

  • Details of any break clauses within the contact, and/or details of whether each contract carries an option to extend the duration of the contract; - see above

  • A named contact for the responsible manager for that service.
