Code of Corporate Governance

Cheshire Fire Authority has developed and adapted a local code of Corporate Governance which brings together all the governance and accountability arrangements the Authority currently has in place and highlights areas where more work is required. 

The code is based on best practice guidance set out in the:

The local code is written around eight core principles.  The links below demonstrate how Cheshire Fire Authority complies with the principles:

The local code is reviewed and updated at least annually.  Any significant issues found to need improvement will be reported in the Authority’s Statement of Assurance, which is published alongside our Accounts annually.
