One fire engine from Lymm and one from Birchwood, supported by a fire engine from Greater Manchester.

Firefighters using breathing apparatus extinguished a car well alight on the hard shoulder of the motorway. They closed the first lane of the carriageway while dealing with the incident. All persons were accounted for. The fire is believed to have been due to an electrical fault.
