Three fire engines from Lymm, Knutsford and Warrington

Firefighters were called to a van that was well alight on the hard shoulder of the M6 North between junctions 19 to 20.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and dampen down the vehicle. All persons were accounted for.
The hard shoulder and one lane of the M6 were closed while the incident was dealt with, and the incident was left with National Highways.
