Firefighters were called to a fire involving the engine compartment of a bus on the M56 eastbound just before junction 6.
Fire crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. A full thermal scan confirmed the fire was out.
All passengers were safely evacuated and moved behind the roadside barrier. A recovery coach was arranged to collect the passengers.
