Crews attended a fire in a garage in Warrington, believed to have been caused by a fridge freezer.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel and checked for hotspots with a thermal imaging camera.
Two people suffering from smoke inhalation were given oxygen at the scene before being taken to hospital.
