Firefighters were called to reports of a fire in housing accommodation in Handforth. On arrival they found a fire involving an industrial bin. Crews moved the bin outside away from the building and used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire, as well as a large fan to clear smoke from the ground floor.
