Firefighters were called to deal with a leak of 100 litres of diesel from a heavy goods vehicle, whose fuel tank had ruptured after contact with a kerb. They used specialist kit to stem the leak and prevent the spillage spreading. The diesel was captured in interceptor tanks beneath the fuel station forecourt, preventing it entering the drains, and will be removed by a clean-up company.
