Crews attended a commercial property in Chester following reports of a gas odour. The building and neighbouring premises were evacuated as a precaution, while police cordoned off the road and managed traffic.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus searched the property and isolated the utilities, maintaining a hose reel on standby. Scottish Power attended the scene and identified an electrical fault as the source of the reported smell. The scene was subsequently handed over to their engineers for repair.
