Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire in a first-floor flat in Runcorn.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet, which is thought to have started due to items left on the hob.
The utilities were isolated, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the premises. All persons were accounted for.
