Firefighters attended reports of people having a campfire in the Macclesfield Forest area. Crews found a small fire which was quickly put out using a bucket of water to prevent it from spreading.
Firefighters spoke to the people involved to explain the risk of wildfires and reminded them that campfires and barbecues are not permitted in this area, as even small fires can spread quickly and cause significant damage.
