Firefighters are currently dealing with a fire at an industrial site in Widnes involving large vehicles in a yard.
There have been reports of a significant smoke plume visible in the area, people are advised to keep doors and windows closed if affected by smoke.

UPDATE 04:10 | The fire is involving three heavy goods vehicles and two tanker trailers. It has been confirmed that the vehicles are empty. The fire is now contained and firefighters are making good progress with hose reel jets.
