Firefighters were called to a fire in the kitchen of a commercial premises in Widnes.
The fire was out on arrival, and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
A high-pressure fan was used to ventilate the premises. This is believed to have been caused by a deep-fat fryer.
