Firefighters attended an incident involving a car in Crewe following reports of a possible vehicle fire.
Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check the vehicle for hotspots and absorbent mats were then used to contain and clean up oil spilt onto the roadway before the scene was handed over to police.
The incident is believed to have been caused by a mechanical fault.
