Firefighters attended a house fire on Welsh Row, Nantwich, where smoke was issuing from a first-floor window and the roof on arrival.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to tackle the fire and carried out a search of the property. Sadly, one person was found deceased - our thoughts remain with their family at this difficult time.
Fire crews left the scene after handing over to Cheshire Police, with investigations into the incident ongoing.
