Firefighters were called to a report of a fire involving hay bales on farmland in Eaton. On arrival they found approximately 25 large hay bales which were smouldering and emitting smoke.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to damp down the hay and extinguish pockets of fire while the hay was removed from a storage building into open space.
