Fire crews were called to smoke seen coming from a broken down lorry on the Davenham Bypass. On arrival, firefighters found that the brakes were likely to have overheated and cooled them using a hose reel jet while monitoring with a thermal imaging camera. They handed the vehicle back to the driver to arrange recovery.
