Details
Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision involving a car that had left the road and overturned on its side after colliding with a tree.
One person was trapped inside the vehicle when crews arrived. One firefighter entered the vehicle and worked alongside paramedics to assist with the casualty's safe release.
Crews used a saw to remove the rear seats and successfully released them from the vehicle and left the casualty in the care of ambulance crews.
One other person who had been travelling in the car had self-extricated before firefighters arrived. They were also assessed at the scene by paramedics.
Police closed the road in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident.
