Firefighters were called to reports of smoke issuing from a disused building in Warrington.
Specialist tools were used to gain entry to the building, where firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire.
The property was monitored throughout using a thermal imaging camera before a high-pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke from the premises.
Police also attended the incident, which is believed to have been started accidentally.
