One fire engine from Malpas, two fire engines from Chester, and one fire engine and Major Rescue Unit from Lymm attended.

Firefighters are currently at the scene of a three-vehicle collision involving a HGV, van and car. The HGV has left the road and is in a field, with crews working to stem a ruptured diesel tank. The other two vehicles have been made safe.
Two casualties were trapped in their vehicles on arrival. Both have since been removed and are being assessed by paramedics.
Crews are currently awaiting electrical engineers to assist with an electricity pole and loose cables.
The A41 remains closed in both directions at the Egerton Arms and is expected to remain closed for some time. Please avoid the area if possible.
