Firefighters were called to reports of smoke issuing from a house in Chester. On arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a hose reel jet and assisted one person to safety.
The casualty was checked over by firefighters, and all occupants were accounted for. A high-pressure fan was then used to clear smoke from the property.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a pan left unattended on the hob.
