Firefighters attended a road traffic collision involving one car that had collided with a lamppost on Moston Road (A41), near the access road to Chester Zoo.
The driver had been helped out of the vehicle by a member of the public before emergency services arrived. Crews carried out safety checks on the vehicle to ensure it could be recovered safely.
Police attended and closed the road while emergency services dealt with the incident. The casualty was handed over to the care of paramedics.
