Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the premises after reports of smoke within a switchroom. The building was fully evacuated and everyone was accounted for. Crews deployed a hose reel jet as a precaution but found no obvious signs of fire. The room was naturally ventilated and thermal imaging cameras were used to check for any hidden hot spots.
Firefighters worked alongside electrical engineers to investigate the cause of the smoke and remove damaged electrical equipment. Once the area was confirmed safe, the incident was handed over to site management.
