Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle. The car became trapped against the motorway barrier, with one person trapped inside. Firefighters were able to move the car to gain access to the door, allowing them to free the casualty and hand them into the care of paramedics. Lanes one and two are closed while the incident is made safe and cleared. Firefighters have also carried out safety checks on both vehicles to ensure they are safe to recover. Traffic may be affected during the evening rush hour while the lanes remain closed.
