FOI 1733 - E-scooters & E-bike Battery Fires

 Please see below a request for the following information relating to fires caused by e-scooter or e-bike batteries. 

 1a.             How many fires have been caused by e-scooter batteries in the county?  

 1b.             If it is within the time/cost limit set by the FOI Act, please provide dates for each incident.

 For each question, I would like data for each of the following time periods:  

•  April 2021 – April 2022

• April 2020 – March 2021 

• April 2019 – March 2020

Please be aware that there is no specific category on our data systems for E-Scooter, Electric Scooter, Electric Bike or E-Bike batteries. The information provided is based on a keyword search for ‘E-Scooter’, ‘Electric Scooter’, ‘Electric Bike’ or ‘E-Bike’ on our incident recording systems. Therefore, the data provided may not include all fires involving E-Scooter or E-Bike batteries unless these keywords were recorded on the incident logs.
