Please could you confirm the names and email addresses of the leaders who travelled to Nepal in 2017.
We have considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA). After careful consideration, we are withholding all of the information requested under Section 40(2) of the FOIA, which relates to personal data.
Section 40(2) provides that personal data about a third party is exempt from disclosure if disclosing it would contravene any of the data protection principles set out in the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
In this case, we believe that releasing the information would be unfair and unlawful, as the individuals concerned would not reasonably expect their personal data to be disclosed to the public. Therefore, disclosure would breach the first data protection principle.
Outcome: Refused
FOI responded to within timescales: YES
Further action: NO
